Once we completed our morning walk around some pleasantly ordinary neighborhoods of Tel Aviv, my wife Mary and I took a walk south to the ancient port of Joffa. The first photo is of me with the the city of Tel Aviv visible in the background. The second is of an outdoorspot in Joffa where we stopped for coffee and the third of an Arabic market, also in Joffa, that Mary was particularly fond of. The fourth photo is of Mary taking a break by the sea on our way back to our hotel in Tel Aviv and the fifth of the 17th century Roman Catholic Church of Saint Peter’s. According to the biblical Acts of the Apostles, Joffa is the place where Saint Peter performed a miracle and where he spoke of a vision commanding him to preach the gospel of Jesus to Gentiles as well as Jews.
